Hey Girlfriends! Time to hit up the Inland Wall
for some women only climbing. Join us to laugh,

Ice Climbing at Gooseberry Falls State Park
Try ice climbing at this beautiful and friendly
North Shore environment. We’ll learn about
techniques and equipment to work your way
up a frozen waterfall amid the stunning winter
scenery of Gooseberry State Park. Beginners
welcome! No experience required. All equipment
is provided.

you techniques for using ice tools and crampons
to climb your way up frozen waterfalls. Beginners

Advanced Ice Climbing
You’ve tried ice climbing and have the basics.
Now it’s time to try steeper, more technical ice
and mixed routes. Practice placing ice screws on
top rope and hone your skills on ice and mixed
terrain.

evaluating hazards and managing risk.

Mountaineering Skills Practice
Get a hands-on introduction to skills for crossing
glaciers and ascending mountains. We’ll head to
Rock Hill to practice rope, crampon and ice axe
skills on steep snow.

PCIA Climbing Wall Instructor Certification
The Professional Climbing Instructors Association
is dedicated to skills training and promoting
professionalism in climbing instructors. This
nationally-recognized course emphasizes best
practices for instructors in technical expertise
and in teaching skills.

Traditional Lead Climbing Clinic
Traditional lead climbers climb outdoors and
use equipment like stoppers and cams to place
anchors in the rock as they climb up a route.
Learn techniques for getting started, placing
anchors, route strategies and belaying a leader.

Multi-pitch Climbing Clinic
Practice techniques for building anchors at the
top of an outdoor climb, bringing up the second
and making the transition at the belay ledge.

Climb Outdoors at Ely’s Peak
Enjoy an afternoon of climbing in West Duluth
with a scenic view of the St. Louis River Valley.

Concrete Smorgasbord Climbing Comp
Join the North Shore Climbers for a day of
climbing excitement and fabulous door prizes
at the 19th Annual Concrete Smorgasbord
climbing competition. Try your hand at all-new
bouldering and roped routes and compete
against climbers of all abilities.

Slack line Workshop
It’s the rest day activity of climbers around the
globe; balancing on a tightly-stretched length of
webbing. Come and learn the basics of slack line
rigging and walking skills. Join us for the fun!

Build Your Own top Rope Anchors I Placing Protection
Beginner to intermediate climbers, get ready
to build your own top rope anchors. This first
session is hands-on and will focus on placing
and evaluating rock protection and combining
anchor points.

Get hands-on practice building top rope anchors
