Kayak and Canoe Club
Here is your chance to try kayaking
and canoeing for the first time or get into the pool and refine your
skills with knowledgeable instructors from the UMD Kayak and Canoe
Club in a comfortable environment. The club does various trips and
events throughout the year including trips to the BWCAW, Apostle
Islands, river trips, and special events in the UMD pool. Check the

Kayaking in the Pool & Club Membership
Here’s your chance to try kayaking for the fi rst time or get into
the pool and refi ne your skills with knowledgeable instructors
from the UMD Kayak and Canoe Club in a comfortable environment.
The club offers river instruction, sea kayak outings and
special events throughout the year so come on down to a pool
session to learn more. All kayak/canoe events are either free or
discounted for club members. Since kayakers and surfers have
similar wave surfi ng interests one person will often choose to
participate in both sports. Surfboard time is also available
during club hours.

Cost: Your fi rst session is FREE! Thereafter Fall Semester Dues
$20 UMD Students, $35 Annual $30 Others, $50 Annual
