Bi-Weekly Make and Takes Spring 2012

Join us on a few Wednesdays throughout the semester for make and takes where you will explore a new make and take project, and meet people who enjoy making things. What's a make and take you ask? Well, it is where you will start a project and go home with a finished one. Come and go as you please. All materials are provided. No experience needed.

Cost: UMD Students $5 each session or $25 pass for all sessions/ Others $8 each session or $40 pass for all sessions

Make Your Own Sleeping Bag Liners
Find yourself wanting an extra layer of warmth for your sleeping bag? Come and make a fleece sleeping bag liner that is custom to your size! This addition to your sleeping bag will help keep you warm even if the weather outside your bag is frightful! Due to the high cost of fleece, this program will be $8 for UMD Students or $10 for Non UMD Students.

Dazzling Wire Jewelry
Have you ever wanted to make your own jewelry? Does working with wire and beads interest you? If so, come join us for an
evening of wire wrapping. No knowledge needed, we will go over everything you need to know to get started. Expect to have fun and lean new skills. February 15

Woodcarving Art
Woodcarving and whittling has been a part of the human tradition since ancient times. Join your ancestors and come learn the tech- niques used to carve your own small piece of art. We will quickly explore the large history of whittling and relief carving, but focus on making a project you can be proud of, and you can be sure the ancient carvers of olde will be proud of!!
